The 2018-2019 season boasts a brand new model for Theatre Horizon, one in which four distinctively styled limited engagement theatrical events will be presented alongside two more traditional productions with longer runs.

Theatre Horizon, a professional Equity theatre company located 20 miles West of Center City Philadelphia, launches a new season programming model, emphasizing their regional premiere of the popular Broadway musical THE COLOR PURPLE. The challenge was to position the company as a premier option for live entertainment for those in the greater Philadelphia region.
A large season announcement VIP party was held where press, influencers, and donors could preview the upcoming season. Using THE COLOR PURPLE as a proprietary entertainment title, major news networks were pitched and a variety of media outlets curated the story. We utilized our relationship with local arts chambers to elevate earned media as well.
THE COLOR PURPLE extended its run twice, becoming the longest running show in the company’s history. Numerous major media outlets (television, radio, online, print) covered the production, and the theatre’s subsequent show, RENAISSANCE IN THE BELLY OF A KILLER WHALE, also added additional performances due to popular demand.
